The Westmead Feelings Program team: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe, Anita Gardner, Dr Michelle Wong and Associate Professor David Dossetor.The Westmead Feelings Program, a pair of research-driven intervention programs for school-age children with autism, has won the Advancement Award in the Autism Spectrum Australia’s (Aspect) 2019 Recognition Awards.
2018

- 15th-16th November: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe will be presenting at the 2018 School Counsellors & Psychologists (SCAP) Conference in Melbourne
- 27th -30th September: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe and collaborators from the Children’s Hospital at Westmead will be presenting at the 2018 Australian Psychological Society Congress, Sydney
- 3rd September: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe will be providing an evening talk for the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society, Sydney.
- 8th-10th July: “Teacher-delivery of the Westmead Feelings Program: Emotion-based learning for children with Autism in primary schools” will be presented at the 2018 AASE National Conference, Cairns, Queensland (presentation by Dr Michelle Wong)
2017
- 4th November: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe is presenting a 1-day workshop for the APS Clinical College (New England, NorthWest Branch): “Teaching social-emotional skills to children & adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability”, Armidale.
- 25th October: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe is presenting at the Health Research Week “Collaborating for Better Health in Western Sydney” Western Sydney University, Campbelltown Campus.
- 5th October: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe is presenting an invited book talk on the Westmead Feelings Progran 1 for HIKMA Research at the University of Sydney
- Dr Belinda Ratcliffe is the lead author of “The Westmead Feelings Program 1: Emotion-Based Learning for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mild Intellectual Disability” WFP1 will be launched at the Asia Pacific Autism Conference in Sydney.
- 7-9th September 2017: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe will be attending the 5th Asia Pacific Autism Conference in Sydney. Dr Ratcliffe is an author on 3 papers which have been submitted for oral presentations.
- 20-21st April: Dr Belinda Ratcliffe and Dr Michelle Wong will be providing faciliator training for health, education and disability professionals in: EBSST for Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mild Intellectual Disability at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
2016

- 27-28th October: Belinda Ratcliffe and Dr Michelle Wong will be providing faciliator training for health, education and disability professionals in: EBSST for Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mild Intellectual Disability at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
- Belinda Ratcliffe has completed her PHD in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Clinical Psychology at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney and is due to graduate in December 2016.
- Belinda Ratcliffe is a an Board Approved Supervisor in Clinical Psychology
- Belinda Ratcliffe has been awarded a prestious early career researcher MENCAP Scholarship to provide an oral presentation “Online Training: Dissemination of an Evidence-based Intervention for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability Across Australia” at the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Debelopmental Disabilities Conference, August 2016.
